Srinagar: Army Chief General Bipin Rawat Saturday said that the overall security situation in Jammu and Kashmir is improving.
Army Chief, who is on a visit to Jammu division of the state, said, “Security situation in Kashmir valley improving. There is utter frustration among the militants.”
Commenting about the NIA raids Rawat said, “In Kashmir we are following government’s approach and NIA raids are a part of it. Whatever success it achieved will emerge in future.”
Talking about the dialogue he said, “Military has a task and we will continue to perform that task. Decision on any talks has to be decided politically.”
He added that the “radicalization” has become a worldwide phenomenon and we are addressing it seriously.
